Albert dock with it's maritime museum, the Mersey ferry and The Beatles Cavern club experience are great examples of what's on offer.

The Beatles
The Fab Four began their rise to fame in the early 1960s. Once Ringo Starr joined they had a stable line-up which lasted the rest of the lifetime of the band. Along with John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison they went to become the best in music terms, the most charismatic and the most famous pop/rock band of all time.
They really hit the heights in the USA after appearing in the Ed Sullivan show which was networked across the country. Their debut on British TV had been a much more modest affair being on Granada's regional news programme for the north of England, People and Places. They had continuous hit singles and LPs (albums) throughout the life of the group. The top-rated albums being Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Revolver and Abbey Road.
There are now various attractions in Liverpool that can take you back to the glory days of the '4 Moptops' as John Peel used to call them. See our page on The Beatles Attractions. There are tours taking in places made famous in Beatles songs like Penny Lane and Strawberry fields. Interestingly, the National Trust now provide tours of the childhood homes of Lennon and McCartney.
DIY Projects, Sheds and Skips!
For most men there are few more satisfying things in life than a DIY home improvement project. In fact in some surveys some people have put it forward as their main hobby! For those DIY fanatics we have a selection of local DIY suppliers in Liverpool to choose from. For a place to work, store garden tools and escape from the missus you can't beat a shed. And don't just stop at one, the more sheds you have the greater your status among the local blokes. Big projects mean big rubbish. If you've torn down an old garage or cleared out the kitchen or bathroom ready for a super new fitted number then you'll need to hire a skip to take away all the old rubbish. Hoping your project goes well.
